Serving as HEEDA’s Program Development Associate, Yasar supports multiple expansion efforts within the organization. He plays a key role in support and coordination of programs launched as well as independent work for ongoing assignments in Afghanistan. He develops program assessments, updates website content and researches community issues and organizations to support grant-writing and community involvement. Yasar holds a degree in Psychobiology from UCLA, where he also served as the first ever Afghan-male student elected to the Undergraduate Students Association Council. Through his various involvements from non-profit organizations to academia Yasar hopes to bring a fresh perspective and creative solutions to solving problems in the developing world.
