Yagana Parwak is a third year Public Health student at the University of California, Berkeley. She is also the Special Events and Programs Assistant at the UC Berkeley Center for Global Public Health, where she assists national and international scholars and organizations present and collaborate on public health initiatives. She is minoring in Global Poverty and Practice, for which she will be completing her fieldwork in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her interests and passions include the intersection between community health, violence and poverty.
