Serving as the local strategic and executive adviser in Afghanistan for HEEDA.org, Mrs. Suraya Rashid is pivotal to the success of various development projects in-country. Suraya serves as both the liaison to several respective Ministries and oversees the execution team at our various facilities. She has over a dozen years experience managing front and back office operations within mental health and clinical practices in the USA (California). She is a trained Academic from Kabul Teachers University and the proud mother of University of California at Berkeley, Davis and Merced graduates in the fields of Medicine, Economics, Politics and History. Suraya currently travels extensively in support of her passions, ranging from children’s rights, to medical health accessibility for the underprivileged and advancing the cause of women’s rights in Afghanistan and throughout the world.
