Yagana Parwak completed her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, majoring in Public Health and minoring in Global Poverty and Practice. She then went on to complete her Masters of Science (MS) degree in Global Health at UC San Fransisco. Yagana is passionate and dedicated to understanding and impacting health in humanitarian crises, particularly in conflict settings. She has worked in Afghanistan tackling neonatal hypothermia and completed her graduate thesis on health and healthcare access among internally displaced persons in Kabul, Afghanistan. She continues to engage in global public health projects and research to better understand the intersection of health, human rights, poverty and violence.
