As HEEDA’s Program Coordinator, Rowyda is responsible for program development and expansion. She produces campaign strategies for current programs and future collaborations; enhancing issue and program awareness through successful marketing and social media campaigns. Rowyda graduated from the University of California Davis, with degrees in Political Science and Economics. She is a dedicated advocate for human rights and social justice; spending time in rural Yemen and Afghanistan promoting women’s health and education. She has also spent time on the Greek Islands as an interpreter and legal assistant for a team of international attorneys and remains deeply involved with the refugee crisis in Europe.
